How to Inquire
How to write an inquiry about a vehicle category entry, step by step, from the category page to the sent message.
Start from a category page
An inquiry starts from a category page, not from a general wish. Open the page for the entry concerned, read the names grouped under it, and decide which name the inquiry concerns. That decision is the foundation of the message: every later sentence refers back to the entry and the name chosen here. A buyer who skips this step often writes a message that names no entry at all, and the reply must then spend its first round establishing which part of the directory was meant.
Write the entry and the name
The message opens with the category entry and the individual name, both stated exactly as listed. The general vehicle type follows in ordinary terms, without a specification, a configuration or a condition, because none of those points is stated for any listed name on this site. The destination market follows in general terms, together with a request to state which requirements apply to that market for the item named. Those four elements — entry, name, general type, destination question — form the opening of every inquiry on this site, whatever else the message goes on to ask.
Add the questions that matter
After the opening, the message sets out the questions that matter for the order: the price, the quantity terms and the timing for the specific items named, and any document question paired with the entry and the name it concerns. Certificates are available upon request, and the document question should be framed in those terms. Each question should travel with the item it concerns, so that the reply can answer it directly. A message that groups all of its questions at the end, detached from the items, forces the reply to reassemble them, and reassembly is where detail gets lost.
Send, then read the reply
The inquiry form asks for a name, an email address, and a message, and the message built in the order above is ready to send once it has been read through against the category page. The read-through checks that the entry and the name match the listing, that no specification has crept in, and that every question is paired with the item it concerns. Once the message is sent, the reply addresses the entry, the name and the questions for the items actually named, or states what further information is needed before they can be addressed.
If the reply asks a follow-up
A follow-up from the reply is answered in the same terms as the first message: entry, name, question. The follow-up message supplies the missing point alongside the entry and the name, rather than opening a new inquiry, because the thread already contains the item the questions concern. Keeping one thread per item, with the entry and the name repeated in each message, is the simplest way to keep a multi-round exchange clear, and it costs nothing beyond repeating two short pieces of information.
What a complete message looks like
A complete message opens with the category entry and the individual name, both stated exactly as listed, and then describes the general vehicle type in ordinary terms. It continues with the destination market in general terms and a request to state which requirements apply to that market for the item named. It then sets out the commercial questions — the price, the quantity terms and the timing for the specific items named, with confirmation of those terms before payment requested in plain terms — and the document question, paired with the entry and the name it concerns. Certificates are available upon request, and the document question is framed in those terms. The message closes with the sender's name and email address, supplied through the form, so that the reply has both a subject and a route back to the sender. No part of the message assumes a specification, a price, a quantity figure or a timing figure, and no part of it presents a name from one entry as though it belonged to another. That shape — opening, destination, commercial questions, document question, sender details — is the shape every guide on this site describes, and a message built in that shape is ready to send.
Before payment, confirm the price, the minimum order quantity and the lead time for the specific items named in the inquiry.
To ask about a category on this page, name the category and the item exactly as listed, and state the questions the reply should answer.
